Hurley Clothing
Hurley International is a company that was created by an incredibly young and brilliant soul. Bob Hurley (hence the name) started the Hurley Business at a very young age of 23. He himself was a surfer and knew exactly what he wanted and applied his needs along with the rest of the surfing community’s needs together and created an amazing clothing line. The company centers their apparel ideas in surf, skate, and music, as well as staying true to the youthful vibes of the younger population. The Hurley clothing line is crazy popular with the youth of America today. Once youngsters started seeing famous people such as band members from Blink 182 and professional surfers sporting the Hurley clothing, they tried to duplicate the look by purchasing Hurley clothing themselves. They figured if their idols were wearing Hurley clothing and they rocked it, they too would sport the Hurley clothing. Some of the items found in the Hurley clothing line, range from dresses, to hoodies, board shorts, I mean you name it, they got it. One of the most popular articles of clothing found in the Hurley clothing line for both men as well as women are the Hurley shorts.
Hurley Shorts
The shorts for men go down to about the knee. The majority of those shorts for men tend to come in various shades of blue, black, gray and tan. The shorts tend to be solid, plaid, and some have prints on them. Once in while you may find a pair with bright yellow or purple colors, but mostly it’s the blues and blacks, grays, and tan areas. The girls Hurley shorts on the other hand, those are super short. They remind me of shorts girls use to wear in the 1970’s, which people called “daisy dukes.” They also come in a variety of bright yellows, reds, purples, greens, and many other bright colors. They also come in floral prints and abstract prints which are fun and unique. They are very in season at the moment too.
Hurley Shirts
Also in the Hurley clothing line, they have really fun Hurley shirts. The girls Hurley shirts again are very bright in color, plaid (as we’ve been seeing, is everywhere this season) and they even have shirts with different colored animal prints, which is also huge right now with fashion lovers. One thing that may be new for some women, but is really hot at the moment, is the Bandeau. It is similar to a strapless bathing suit and it comes in all different colors and prints. Plus it looks really good with a nice pair of shorts and a tan. Perfect for a day at the park, or beach. As for the men’s Hurley shirts, they come in again (the plaid) if you’re not getting sick of plaid, by the end of this season you just might, because it is literally everywhere. They also come in bright colors with the companies name “Hurley” written on it. They also come in abstract prints and splashes of paint (in my opinion it’s the awesome 80’s all over again) and it’s really fun and in season at the moment. A particular favorite of mine for the men is also the V-neck T-shirts. They make a man look more slender and sexy. Plus the bright colors really make a tan pop. The V-neck shirt is a little on the metro sexual side, but if you’re a confident stud, then you surely can rock this look with no problem.
Also another thing to remember is that fall is just around the corner. What does that mean? Well, football games, being outdoors, and obviously temperatures that dwindle. So to stay warm this fall I would recommend purchasing one of the Hurley hoodies. You can purchase any of the Hurley hoodies in both the men’s as well as the women’s section. The Hurley hoodies all come in a variety of colors, the name brand logo is written on some, and they come in a variety of designs.
The whole apparel collection at Hurley is all reasonably priced. Its target market is directed towards those mainly 18-24. So when you think about it, that age bracket is still in high school or at most in college and not really working. If they are working they aren’t making much, because they don’t have enough time or school expenses are too high for them to afford higher priced goods.
Aside from the amazing products Hurley has to offer, the company itself is one to look up to, as far as how businesses are run. They do many things to get involved with the community. As I have previously talked about the U.S. Open for Surfing and all the sponsorships they have done throughout the years. The way they market and use professional athletes, musicians, and other famous celebrities is just pure brilliance.
